Spring riding in the Chugach Mountains out of Valdez will amaze even the most experienced riders. Our tours are geared toward smaller groups of avid riders. Two to five per group is the best size for our Valdez tours. To preserve your wilderness experience, we seldom travel on any trails, and it is common to not see a single snowmobile track all day. Wilderness travel is what our tours are about. We often see wildlife including moose, caribou, goats, wolverine, and eagles. We will stay in small B&B's and hotels. Each day will be an adventure that will create memories to last a lifetime. We provide excellent snowmobiles with paddle tracks for best traction and performance for the conditions found in our area. We will gear the ride to the group's ability. The variety of riding available can accommodate beginner, intermediate, advanced, and expert riders. We will travel up to 200 miles per day depending on the group's abilities.
Late afternoon or evening of your arrival day will be safety orientation and organizing gear for the next morning. On each riding day we will rise for a 7:30am breakfast and discussion of the day's riding plan.
Rides include travel across some of Alaska's most spectacular glaciers and mountains. Exact itineraries are not set due to the unpredictability of weather. We will travel to where the best riding and weather are. When conditions are right we will travel lodge to lodge and never trailer the machines. The majority of our tours will be in the areas around Valdez.
Upon arrival in Valdez the following items will be covered:
- Accommodations (two per room).
- Breakfast and trail lunch each day. Dinners on your own.
- Snowmobile rental, one tank of fuel per day, and oil.
- Local guide.
Items that are not be covered:
- Alcoholic beverages (not permitted during riding - evening only).
- Guide gratuities.
- Belt replacement if needed.
- Rider and machine insurance.
- Riding gear (can be provided if needed at a low fee)
